The Relationship Between Work Environment and Employee Well-Being: A Qualitative Study
Abstract
This research examines the relationship between work environment and employee well-being, focusing on how physical and organizational factors influence mental health and job satisfaction. The study begins with a literature review outlining the dimensions of work environment, including physical workspace design, organizational culture, and work-life balance. Utilizing a qualitative approach, the research conducts in-depth interviews with employees from various industries to gather insights into their experiences and perceptions of their work environments. The findings reveal that a positive work environment characterized by supportive management, collaborative culture, and ergonomic design significantly enhances employee well-being and productivity. Conversely, negative factors such as high stress, poor communication, and lack of resources contribute to burnout and dissatisfaction. The research highlights the importance of organizations prioritizing employee well-being through thoughtful workplace design and supportive policies. The study concludes with recommendations for employers to foster environments that promote mental health, engagement, and overall job satisfaction.
