Politics Of Resettlement And Nationality Crisis Of Inhabitants Of Bakassi Peninsula
Abstract
This study examined the Nigeria-Cameroon Boundary dispute over Bakassi Peninsula. It explores the implications of this territorial conflict on the residents' nationality status. The research aims to determine whether the resettlement policies have affected the citizenship rights of the displaced inhabitants of Bakassi and whether the issue has contributed to the broader crisis of nationality in the region. The findings highlight the significance of international legal frameworks and the role of local governance in addressing these challenges.
