E-Government and Citizen Engagement in Developing Countries
Abstract
E-government initiatives are increasingly recognized as pivotal tools for public sector reform and enhanced governance, particularly within developing countries striving to improve service delivery and foster greater transparency. This research explores the transformative potential of e-government platforms in facilitating and deepening citizen engagement within these contexts. It examines how digital technologies enable governments to disseminate information, solicit feedback, conduct online consultations, and create channels for direct public participation, thereby moving beyond mere service provision towards more interactive and participatory governance models
