Abstract

The rapid advancements in digital technologies have fundamentally reshaped the modern workplace, blurring traditional boundaries between professional and personal life and profoundly impacting the concept of work-life balance. This research investigates the complex relationship between work-life balance and employee productivity in the digital age, characterized by ubiquitous connectivity, remote work capabilities, and an 'always-on' work culture. The study explores how digital tools, while offering unprecedented flexibility and efficiency, simultaneously pose challenges such as increased work intensity, difficulty in disconnecting, and heightened stress levels. It examines the mechanisms through which work-life balance, or its deficit, influences employee engagement, job satisfaction, mental well-being, and ultimately, productivity and organizational performance. Furthermore, the research identifies key strategies and best practices for individuals and organizations to foster a healthy work-life integration in a digitally driven environment, including flexible work arrangements, mindful technology use, and supportive organizational cultures. By shedding light on these dynamics, this study aims to provide critical insights for creating sustainable work environments that prioritize employee well-being while maximizing efficiency and innovation in the evolving digital landscape.
