Abstract

This research investigates the role of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in disaster relief efforts, focusing on their contributions to emergency response, recovery, and community resilience. Through a qualitative analysis of case studies from various disaster-affected regions, the study highlights the unique strengths of NGOs, including their flexibility, local knowledge, and ability to mobilize resources quickly. Key findings reveal that NGOs often fill critical gaps in government response, providing essential services such as medical aid, shelter, and psychological support. Additionally, the research examines challenges faced by NGOs, including coordination with governmental agencies and funding limitations. The study emphasizes the importance of collaborative frameworks that enhance the effectiveness of NGOs in disaster management, ultimately contributing to more resilient communities.
