The Role of Emotional Intelligence in Effective Classroom Management

Abstract

This research study aims to investigate the role of emotional intelligence (EI) in effective classroom management. Classroom management plays a pivotal role in creating a positive learning environment and maximizing students' academic and social outcomes. Emotional intelligence, which encompasses the ability to recognize, understand, and manage one's own emotions as well as the emotions of others, has been recognized as a critical competency for educators. However, there is a need for a deeper understanding of how emotional intelligence influences classroom management practices.it based on  employ a mixed-methods research design, combining quantitative surveys with qualitative interviews. The quantitative phase will involve administering a validated measure of emotional intelligence to teachers, along with a questionnaire assessing their classroom management strategies. The qualitative phase will involve in-depth interviews with a subset of participants to gather detailed insights into their experiences and perceptions of the role of emotional intelligence in classroom management.
