The Role of Organizational Ambidexterity in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Decision-Making
Abstract
Organizational ambidexterity has become one of the contemporary issues through which organizations seek to achieve continuity and growth in a dynamic and changing business environment, which requires these organizations to improve the exploitation of resources while seeking to explore new opportunities, which contributes to improving their decisions and achieving a sustainable competitive advantage compared to similar organizations. Accordingly, the research aims to test and analyze the relationship between organizational ambidexterity and its effective role in making decisions. To achieve this goal, the study was applied to a sample of 126 university professors, and a structural model was built and tested. The study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which is that there is a positive impact of organizational ambidexterity on the effectiveness of decision-making at the general level and at the factorial level. The flexible organizational structure achieved a high level of influence, which achieved the first order of dimensions of organizational ambidexterity , followed by the search for new opportunities and then the optimal exploitation of opportunities.
